This map is being developed by me, roxberry. It’s my first map project for DayZ, but it’s an idea I’ve had for a very long time.
I have around 20 years of experience in web development, but in recent years I’ve started experimenting with other programming languages and development environments.
My vision for Destiny Hill is for it to be a nature-inspired map. It should also be very large, as I’ve often come across community maps that are quite small. This is likely because creating a smaller map is much easier — but that’s not what I want.
My philosophy is that if I’m going to take on a project, I’m going to do it properly. So I decided to create a very large DayZ map. I haven’t quite calculated its exact size yet, but it’s definitely larger than Chernarus.
